How we handle the data you give us

Privacy policy

Template notice — this page is drafted for legal review before the site goes live.

FAB Africa 2027 is organised by MIE Events DMCC (Dubai, United Arab Emirates). This policy explains what we do with the information you give us through this website and through visitor, exhibitor and speaker registration.

What we collect

Registration is handled on our registration platform. The details you provide there — name, company, job title, e-mail, telephone, country and city, and for exhibitors your website and industry — are used to issue your badge, to send you your confirmation and show information, and to produce the visitor and exhibitor statistics we publish.

How we use it

  • To register you for the show and produce your badge and QR code.
  • To send you service messages about the show, and — where you have agreed — news and updates.
  • To build the visitor and exhibitor statistics that exhibitors and partners rely on, in aggregate rather than identified form.
  • To connect exhibitors and visitors through the B2B matchmaking programme, when you take part in it.

Sharing

The registration platform processes registrations on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers (registration, e-mail delivery, hosting) only as far as they need it to deliver the service, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Cookies and measurement

This site uses only what it needs to work, plus optional measurement if it has been enabled for the event. Where consent is required, no measurement script is requested until you accept. See the cookie policy for the detail.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to the contact given on the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Retention

Registration records are kept for as long as needed to run the show and to answer exhibitors' and visitors' post-show queries, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
